This topic describes how to install and configure YugaByte Management console on PKS.

Install and Configure YugaByte Management console on PKS

To install the YugaByte Management Console on PKS, do the following:

  1. Obtain a Pull Secret for running the YugaByte Management console by emailing YugaByte Sales.

  2. Run the following command to install the Pull Secret.

    $ kubectl create -f yugabyte-k8s-secret.yml
    

  3. Download YugaByte Management console k8s file from Pivotal Network.

  4. Run the following command to get YugaByte Management console started on PKS.

    $ kubectl create -f yugaware-k8s.yml
    

  5. After the service is up, you can access the UI. The registration page appears first.

  6. Fill in the registration form and click Register, and record the email and password in a safe place.

    After registration, you see an empty dashboard asking you to configure a provider.

  7. Click Configure a Provider and navigate to Pivotal Container Service tab.

  8. Create a new Pivotal Container Service by providing the kube config, service account, image registry, and namespace details.

  9. Click Save to save the configuration.
