Installing Ops Manager on AWS Manually

This topic explains how to install Ops Manager on Amazon Web Services (AWS) manually.
Do not read this topic if you are intending to install the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition (TKGI) runtime on AWS.
You can install Ops Manager on AWS manually for use with the VMware Tanzu Application Service for VMs (TAS for VMs) runtime.
Note: To run VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition on AWS, you must use Terraform to install Ops Manager. For more information, see Installing and Configuring Ops Manager on AWS.
To install Ops Manager manually on AWS for use with TAS for VMs:
(Optional) Review the resources you must deploy to AWS. For more information, see Required AWS Objects.
Prepare your AWS environment. For more information, see Preparing to Deploy Ops Manager on AWS Manually.
Deploy Ops Manager. For more information, see Deploying Ops Manager on AWS Manually.
(Optional) Verify that you deployed all of the required resources to AWS. For more information, see Required AWS Objects.
Configure BOSH Director. For more information, see Configuring BOSH Director on AWS Manually.
After completing the procedures above, configure a runtime for TAS for VMs. You can install the TAS for VMs runtime or the TKGI runtime.
