Upgrading PASW and Windows Stemcells

Warning: Pivotal Application Service (PAS) v2.8 is no longer supported because it has reached the End of General Support (EOGS) phase as defined by the Support Lifecycle Policy. To stay up to date with the latest software and security updates, upgrade to a supported version.

This topic describes how to upgrade the Pivotal Application Service for Windows (PASW) tile and update the Windows stemcell.

Rotating Credentials

The Pivotal Application Service (PAS) tile handles all of the credentials for PASW.

To rotate your credentials in PASW, you must re-deploy PAS and PASW. To re-deploy PAS and PASW:

  1. Navigate to the Ops Manager Installation Dashboard.

  2. Click Review Pending Changes.

  3. Select the PAS and PASW tiles and review the changes. For more information, see Reviewing Pending Product Changes.

  4. Click Apply Changes.

Upgrade PASW

To upgrade PASW:

  1. Download the latest PASW version from the Pivotal Application Service for Windows page on Pivotal Network. For more information about upgrading your Pivotal Platform products, see Upgrading Pivotal Platform Products in Upgrading PAS and Other Pivotal Platform Products.

  2. If necessary, configure the product. For more information about configuring PASW, see Installing and Configuring PASW.

  3. Click Review Pending Changes.

  4. Select the PASW tile and review the changes. For more information, see Reviewing Pending Product Changes.

  5. Click Apply Changes.

Upgrade the Windows Stemcell

To upgrade your Windows stemcell:

  1. Retrieve the stemcell by following the steps for your IaaS:

  2. Go to Stemcell Library.

  3. Click Import Stemcell to import the stemcell file.

  4. When prompted, enable the Ops Manager product checkbox to stage your stemcell.

  5. Click Apply Stemcell to Products.
